How Much Moisture Does It Absorb?

Absorption capacity will vary depending on container conditions, but under normal humidity levels the moisture trap can absorb up to approximately 1 kg of moisture during use. This helps reduce condensation, dampness, and moisture-related damage inside the container.

Moisture Trap Quantity Guide

To get the best results, the number of traps you’ll need depends on container size, cargo type, and storage conditions. The numbers below are per side of the container:

• 10ft container: Use 2 moisture traps per side

• 20ft container: Use 3 moisture traps per side

• 40ft container: Use 6 moisture traps per side

These numbers are general guidelines for typical mixed cargo or storage conditions.

Cargo Type:

• High-moisture cargo (timber, textiles, paper, leather) releases more moisture → you may need extra traps.

• Dry or sealed goods (electronics, metals, furniture) produce less moisture → you might use fewer traps.

Climate:

• Hot, humid conditions fill traps faster → add more for longer coverage.

• Cold, dry conditions require fewer traps.

Storage Duration:

• The longer the container is sealed, the more moisture you’ll need to manage.

Start with the recommended per-side quantity for your container size, then adjust based on cargo and climate.
